SFPE Promotes Chemistry of Fire Teachers Kit at Science Teachers Conference

The Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) promoted the Chemistry of Fire Teaches Kit at the National Science Teachers Association’s (NSTA) National Conference on Science Education. The conference was held on March 19-22, 2009 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The NSTA Conference included more than 12,000 teachers, science coordinators, curriculum planners, administrators, principals, and students from all over the world. During this event, SFPE distributed over 300 copies of the program to science teachers. Pictured above are science teachers from Houston, Texas at the SFPE exhibit booth. The Chemistry of Fire Teachers Kit is a multimedia standards based curriculum kit that aims to introduce the science of fire into high school chemistry classrooms.
