Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) President Richard Davis and Vice President James Milke presented 39 SFPE Associate Member certificates to fire protection engineering students graduating from the University of Maryland Department of Fire Protection Engineering. This presentation was made on May 6, 2009 in College Park, Maryland.
"On behalf of the SFPE Board of Directors, I would like to wish the graduates from UMCP and all other graduates entering the field of fire protection engineering the best of luck and continued growth in their expertise," said SFPEThe first year of SFPE membership is given free to these students, as well as those graduating from other colleges and universities studying fire protection engineering.
